Michael Biondo is a Lifestyle Designer with over 18 years experience providing a broad range of design services including Personal Styling, Event Production and Interior Décor Design.

After graduating at the Fashion Institute in the late 1980’s, Michael began his career at Macy’s as one of the iconic stores first male personal shoppers. Loving his work, but wanting to branch out more creatively, Michael moved to the smallest Manhattan one-bedroom apartment known to man, on Thompson Street near Washington Square Park, where he began designing his own line of women’s evening wear under the label, Michael Biondo Couture.

In the early 1990’s, Michael relocated to beautiful and historic New Hope, PA and opened his first of two boutiques, Baby Jane’s, which celebrated the Golden Age of Hollywood. Michael designed the boutique to resemble a Hollywood stars dressing room. In addition to Michael’s original evening wear designs, Baby Jane’s featured distinctive vintage clothing from the 1930’s to the 1970’s, as well as original and reproduction Hollywood memorabilia. To promote his boutique, Michael produced elaborate dinner fashion shows featuring celebrity impersonators of Hollywood’s bygone era.

By the mid 1990’s, Michael’s passions led him to delve deeply into interior décor design and the many intricacies of entertaining. Michael became known for his beautiful and gracious home as well as his lively, elegant parties and dinners he hosted for friends, family and clients.

In 1998, Michael Biondo Lifestyle Design was created, where Michael advised private clients on the art of gracious living. In 2000, Michael and his design of his circa 1850 New Hope home was featured on the half hour show, Design Basics on Home and Garden Television (HGTV).

In late 2000, Michael relocated back to Manhattan where he lived in West Greenwich Village, thankfully in a much larger apartment this time around. Michael had the opportunity to showcase his Lifestyle Design talents with his work with socialites and public figures. Fortunate to work with his clients in America and Europe, Michael created magical events, designed beautiful interiors, custom designed exclusive evening wear for stage and red carpet events while also styling his clients daily wardrobes.

During his time in Manhattan, Michael was featured in international, national and local media including a cover story in The Wall Street Journal, CNN.com, a spread in the New York Post, and New York Post - Page Six, ABC News.com, USA Today as well as television shows in both the USA and Europe. Michael has also appeared on radio programs in both national and NYC-Metro programs. Michael’s personal styling and interior decor work has appeared on 60 Minutes, LIVE with Regis & Kelly, Entertainment Tonight, Good Morning America, CNN, VH-1, Glamour Magazine, Europe 1 Television, Pro Sieban German Television, Celebrity Recording Artist CD Covers, and Independent Films and Television Pilots.

In mid 2008, Michael was hired by a client and friend to design their new South West Florida waterfront home after having already worked with them on the design of their St. Thomas, US Virgin Island home. After seeing firsthand the beauty SW Florida had to offer, Michael realized a change was on the horizon.

By late 2008, Michael began a new chapter of his life and his design firm, Michael Biondo Lifestyle Design, Inc. in SW Florida and now works and lives happily and peacefully in Naples, Florida.

Since Manhattan will always be Michael’s one true love, he returns as often as he can. In addition, he always looks forward to his travels for work related projects as well as leisure trips.

Michael’s life philosophies are simple:

Love what you do and do what you love . Work as though you don’t need the money.  Sing as though no one can hear you.  Give freely.  Love as though you’ve never been hurt.  Live out loud.  Dance as though no one is watching.  Be grateful.

Michael strives to live in a state of gratitude and firmly believes in philanthropy to help those in less fortunate circumstances. In addition to his charitable contributions, Michael always welcomes ideas on how to better assist others in need and welcomes requests for fundraising Gift Certificates from his design firm.
